Commission Order Policy

What is Commission Order

A Commission order is a made-to-order crochet item(which is not offered in my existing shop) created specifically according to customer’s request, measurements, colours, and/or design preferences.

Payment and Non-Refundable Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit of certain percentage of the total estimated cost is required before any work begins.
  • The remaining amount or calculated cost per hour must be paid in full before shipping
  • The prepaid deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to order cancellation, change of mind, or order abandonment.
  • if a commission orders is abandoned(failure to complete payment or respond within a reasonable timeframe after completion), the deposit will be fortified.

Abandoned Orders

  • An order will be considered abandoned if the customer fails to pay the remaining balance or respond to communicate within 14 days of completion notice.
  • In the case of abandonment, the finished item becomes the property of the seller.
  • The seller reserves the right to repurpose, modify, or resell the finished item at their discretion.
  • No refunds or credits will be issued for abandoned orders.

Pricing & Cost Breakdown 

Pricing is calculated based on:

  • Labor: Charged at an hourly rate based on the time required to complete the project.
  • Materials: The full cost of materials must be paid by the customer, as they are purchased specifically for the commisssion and are not reusable.
  • Patterns: Any required purchased or custom-created patterns are paid in full by the customer.
  • Shipping: Calculated separately based on final weight, size, and destination.

Processing & Creation Time

  • Processing and creation time varies depending on the size and complexity of the project.
  • Time estimates are provided in good faith and are guaranteed.
  • Delays due to materials availability, design changes, or unforeseen circumstances may extend completion time.
  • Rush orders may incur additional fees.

Design & Approval & Changes

  • All design details must be finalised before work begins.
  • Minor adjustments may be allowed at the seller’s discretion.
  • Major changes after work has begun may result in additional charges and timeline extensions.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Deposits are strictly non-refundable.
  • If the customer cancels after work has begun, no refunds will be issued for time, materials, or patterns.
  • If the seller must cancel the order, refunds will only apply to work not yet completed, excluding materials and patterns cost already incurred.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • The seller is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the shipping carriers.
  • Responsibility transfers to the customer once the item is shipped.

Handmade Disclaimer

  • All items are handmade and may contain minor variations or imperfections.
  • Colour differences may occur due to screen settings or yarn dye lots.

Returns & Exchanges

  • Due to the custom nature of commission orders, returns and exchanges are not accepted.
  • Refunds will not be issued based on personal performance or dissatisfaction once the item is complete.

Intellectual Property

Original designs and patterns created by the seller remain the seller’s intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced, or resold.

Items created using third-party patterns are sold as finished handmade products only, and the intellectual property rights to those patterns remain with their original designers.

Agreement

Placing a commission orders confirms that the customer has read, understood, and agreed to this policy in full.
